After informing a client of a female candidate’s record for 96 convictions (for fraud, theft, forgery, etc), the client informed BackCheck that he made a poor decision to hire her before submitting the BackCheck request. According to him, he chose to hire the applicant pending successful completion of a ‘BackCheck’. She showed up for work the first day, and seemed reluctant to fill out the consent forms. She reluctantly admitted to having an assault conviction 15 years ago that would not ruin her chances at employment, and apparently tore up the form during the confession in an attempt to avoid the check.
