Ontario Education Services Corporation (OESC) is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with myBackCheck.com to provide police record checks in a timely fashion to all our clients.  OESC will continue to provide police record check services for your staff, students and volunteers, in compliance with current RCMP policy.

Consent Forms, Police Record Checks and Payments will now be processed on-line using BackCheck’s web-based system.  A Canadian Police Service under contract with BackCheck will complete the actual record checks.  OESC will continue to adjudicate police records of individuals and issue OESC ID Cards.  Your privacy and confidentiality will continue to be protected by OESC.

During the application and registration process, should you have any questions, online and telephone support is available through BackCheck.

By continuing with this application process and entering this site, the applicant should be aware that all results will be shared with Ontario Education Services Corporation (OESC). OESC will treat all information on these records entirely confidentially and details of any record will be released only to the applicant.

By continuing with this application process the applicant authorizes the OESC to report to school boards or colleges/universities that they are authorized, or that because they have a record of a serious offence(s) that they have been refused authorization by OESC to be in direct and regular contact with students and other vulnerable persons.  In cases where there is a record of a serious offence(s) the applicant will have the opportunity to provide an explanation to OESC officials before school boards or colleges/universities are notified.

This consent is given pursuant to section 42 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, section 32 of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, if applicable.

By completing this process the applicant agrees to hereby release and forever discharge Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario, the RCMP, BackCheck and their Canadian police service supplier, the Ontario Education Services Corporation – and any or all of their respective members, directors, employees, servants, and agents, including their successors and assigns, from any and all actions, claims and demands for damages, loss or injury howsoever arising which may hereafter be sustained by the applicant as a result of the disclosure of information by BackCheck through to the OESC.
