International Employment Verifications Prove Extra Valuable
An applicant listed on her resume that she worked at an international school in Korea, but did not provide a reference from that school. The client asked us to initiate an Employment Verification to verify the validity of the claim. Due to a language barrier, BackCheck hired a translator to conduct the Employment Verification.
Thanks to our translator’s efforts in finding the correct phone number, we were able to reach the school, who informed us that the applicant left without notice. “She disappeared suddenly. She left the country without offering any notice at all.”
This simply shows that international Employment Verifications are worth the extra effort.
